Christopher Dedrick Music Fund
The Christopher Dedrick Music Fund was established by Moira Dedrick in honour of her late husband, prolific musician and composer, Christopher Dedrick.
In partnership with the Screen Composers Guild of Canada, the Christopher Dedrick Award for Live Musicians in Media Soundtracks was established to recognize an Ontario based composer and to celebrate and encourage the use of live musicians in the production of media music soundtracks.

2023 Ally Fiola and Sean Hayden
Ally Fiola is a Nova Scotian saxophonist and film composer. Film is the perfect setting for Ally’s passion of storytelling and music to come together. She excels at creating memorable melodies and understanding how to intertwine harmony with the emotion of the scene. Ally loves writing for a variety of instruments and ensembles, including experimenting with unique and non-traditional sounds. Recent credits include short films How The Cheetah Got its Stripes, Blue & White, Momifesto, and Sleeping with the Fishes.
Sean Hayden is a Toronto based composer who writes music for television, advertising, film, and modern media. Credits include composer for Gary & His Demons (2x Canadian Screen Awards award winner and Webby nominated), the theme music for Fear{less} with Tim Ferriss, scoring for Budweiser’s 2018 Superbowl campaign, and well over 100+ credits between advertising and television.
