Toronto, May 27, 2021 – The Board of Directors of the Ontario Arts Foundation is very pleased to announce the appointment of Bruce Bennett as Executive Director. Bruce will start his new role on June 7, 2021, following the retirement of Alan Walker after 11 years as Executive Director.
Bruce brings over 20 years of experience as a management consultant to the position, having specialized in strategy development and operational efficiency projects for clients across North America. He brings a deep commitment and involvement in the Not for Profit sector through roles at Jump Math, the Chawkers Foundation, and as Vice-Chair of The Walrus Foundation.

He brings the right skills and experience in financial management, strategic thinking and experience in relationship-building to the role”, says Anthony Graham, Chairman of the Ontario Arts Foundation. “2021 marks the 30th anniversary of the Foundation and we look forward to Bruce’s leadership as the Foundation begins the next decade of wise stewardship and growth of endowments and arts awards, providing long-term sustainability for arts organizations and private donor funds in Ontario”.
As Bruce begins his new role, the Board of Directors with great appreciation thanks Alan Walker for his leadership of the Foundation, his efforts over the past 11 years to build the Foundation’s presence within the Ontario arts community and his work with arts organizations and private donors in the creation and stewardship of endowments, awards and scholarships.
