Ontario Arts Foundation Announces Two New Board Members

Toronto – November 6, 2023 – The Ontario Arts Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to the Board of Directors: Simon Foster and Martha Tory.

These appointments were made at the AGM, upon the retirement of Rita Davies, Kiki Delaney and Donald Ross who had been on the board for 5, 6 and 14 years respectively. They all made significant contributions in their roles and were valuable counsel to the organization.

The Board is responsible for the oversight of the management of the Foundation’s investment portfolio and provides leadership for carrying out the Foundation’s mission to promote long-term support for the arts in Ontario.

Simon Foster 
Mr. Foster is the CEO and founder of Chatter Research, a customer feedback software platform he created in 2016. Prior to this, Simon spent five years with Blue Ant Media, as senior vice president of digital and corporate development.

Mr. Foster also sits on the board of the Ontario Arts Council . He is a graduate of Queen’s University and has a master’s degree in political economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Martha Tory

Ms. Tory is a retired partner from Ernst & Young LLP, where she led their not-for-profit industry group. She was responsible for the audits of a diverse range of clients, including several cultural organizations.
