Toronto, le 3 d\u00e9cembre 2015: Moyra Davey<\/strong> est la laur\u00e9ate 2015 du Prix Paul de Hueck et Norman Walford d\u2019excellence de carri\u00e8re pour la photographie artistique<\/strong> de 20 000 $. Le Prix reconna\u00eet les r\u00e9alisations exceptionnelles dans le domaine de la photographie d'art.<\/p>

Moyra Davey<\/strong> est une artiste visuelle canadienne internationalement reconnue qui a apport\u00e9 une contribution importante \u00e0 la photographie contemporaine. Au cours des trois derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies, Davey a construit une \u0153uvre extraordinaire et de plus en plus influente compos\u00e9e de photographies, de textes \u00e9crits, et de vid\u00e9os.<\/p>

Les photographies d'objets familiers de Davey, pi\u00e8ces de monnaie, des \u00e9tag\u00e8res de cuisine, des piles de livres, documentent les traces de la vie au quotidien et encouragent les spectateurs \u00e0 examiner les petits d\u00e9tails qui sont souvent n\u00e9glig\u00e9s.<\/span><\/p>

Le travail de Davey a \u00e9t\u00e9 largement expos\u00e9 dans des expositions solos et collectives, y compris r\u00e9cemment Reconstuctions, Recent Photographs and Video from the Met Collection<\/a>, au Metropolitan Museum of Art de New York. Le Prix Paul de Hueck and Norman Walford de r\u00e9alization professionnelle<\/a> a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 \u00e0 la Fondation des arts de l\u2019Ontario par feu Norman Walford, ancien directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du Conseil des arts de l\u2019Ontario, et feu Paul de Hueck, ancien directeur de la production \u00e0 la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision anglaise de Radio-Canada. Le Conseil des arts de l\u2019Ontario est responsable du processus de nomination et de s\u00e9lection. La laur\u00e9ate a \u00e9t\u00e9 choisie par un comit\u00e9 de s\u00e9lection compos\u00e9 de Kim Simon<\/strong>, curateur de photographie (Toronto), LarryTowell<\/strong>, photographe et laur\u00e9at 2011 (Bothwell), et Andrew Wright<\/strong>, photographe and \u00e9ducateur (Ottawa).<\/p>
