Photo: Chris Hutcheson<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">Les laur\u00e9ats ont \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9s \u00e0 la suite du concours de chant qui s'est tenu \u00e0 Toronto le 9 f\u00e9vrier 2015 dans l\u2019Amphith\u00e9\u00e2tre Richard Bradshaw au Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. Les Prix reconnaissent l'excellence d'une interpr\u00e9tation et les membres du COC Ensemble Studio ont concouru en chantant des airs d'op\u00e9ra devant les juges <strong>Alexander Neef<\/strong>, Directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la COC, <strong>John Hess<\/strong>, Head of Collaborative Piano Studies au universit\u00e9 de Western, et <strong>Stuart Hamilton<\/strong>, entraineur vocal, pianiste and auteur.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">Originaire de la ville de Qu\u00e9bec, la soprano <strong>Karine Boucher\u00a0<\/strong> a remport\u00e9 le Premier Prix et le Prix du public au Canadian Opera Company  Ensemble studio Competition en 2013. Cette saison avec le COC , elle a chant\u00e9 le r\u00f4le de Kate Pinkerton dans <em>Madama Butterfly<\/em>.  Karine a chant\u00e9 fr\u00e9quemment \u00e0 titre de jeune artiste de l\u2019Atelier lyrique de l\u2019Op\u00e9ra de Montr\u00e9al : ses r\u00f4les incluent Mlle Pinkerton dans <em>The Old Maid and the Thief<\/em> de Menotti,  Annina dans <em>La Traviata<\/em> de Verdi ainsi Inez dans <em>Il Trovatore\u00a0<\/em>;  Damon dans <em>Acis et Galatea\u00a0<\/em> de Heandel (Arte Musica), Mimi dans <em>La Boh\u00e8me\u00a0<\/em> de Puccini  (Jeunesses Musicales) et le r\u00f4le-titre dans Rita <em>de Donnizetti<\/em> (Highlands Opera Studio).  Ses R\u00f4les \u00e0 venir au sein du Canadian Opera Company comprennent  Berta dans le <em>Barbier de S\u00e9ville<\/em>  (Ensemble studio) et ainsi Mica\u00ebla dans la saison prochaine de <em>Carmen<\/em>.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>A propos du COC Ensemble Studio<\/strong>\n<br>\nFond\u00e9 en 1980 par la Canadian Opera Company, l\u2019Ensemble Studio est le programme de formation pour de jeunes professionnels d\u2019op\u00e9ra de tout premier ordre au Canada. Les membres de l\u2019Ensemble Studio sont les artistes en r\u00e9sidence du COC et sont des ambassadeurs importants pour la compagnie. Depuis sa cr\u00e9ation, plus de 180 jeunes chanteurs, entraineurs d\u2019op\u00e9ra, directeur de sc\u00e8ne et chefs d\u2019orchestre professionnels canadiens ont acquis leur premi\u00e8re exp\u00e9rience op\u00e9ratique professionnelle gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019Ensemble Studio de la Canadian Opera Company. Les anciens membres comptent parmi eux Ben Heppner, Isabel Bayrakdarian, John Fanning, Wendy Nielsen, David Pomeroy, Joseph Kaiser, Lauren Segal et Krisztina Szab\u00f3.<\/p><p><span class=\"plain_grey\">Il offre un enseignement avanc\u00e9, une exp\u00e9rience de terrain, et des opportunit\u00e9s de d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re. Les membres de l\u2019Ensemble Studio re\u00e7oivent un m\u00e9lange d'\u00e9tudes approfondies et une exp\u00e9rience pratique gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un programme individuel sur mesure, sur plusieurs ann\u00e9es, impliquant d\u2019\u00eatre une doublure et l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation de r\u00f4les sur sc\u00e8ne, un coaching vocal intensif, des \u00e9tudes de th\u00e9\u00e2tre et linguistique, et le d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences de carri\u00e8re, ainsi que la participation \u00e0 des ateliers de maitres avec des professionnels de l'op\u00e9ra de renomm\u00e9e internationale.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>A propos des Prix Christina and Louis Quilico<\/strong>\n<br>\nChristina Petrowska-Quilico a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le Fonds Christina et Louis Quilico en 2000 en hommage \u00e0 son d\u00e9funt mari, le baryton r\u00e9put\u00e9 Louis Quilico, et pour reconna\u00eetre de jeunes chanteurs et chanteuses, pianistes et compositeurs et compositrices de chant. Durant ses 45 ann\u00e9es pass\u00e9es sur la sc\u00e8ne, Louis Quilico a figur\u00e9 aux m\u00eames g\u00e9n\u00e9riques que Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Jos\u00e9 Carreras, Joan Sutherland et Renata Tebaldi. Il a aussi contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 faire avancer la carri\u00e8re de nombreux jeunes chanteurs et chanteuses, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son enseignement et aux ateliers ma\u00eetres qu\u2019il donnait.
