Toronto, April 16, 2014 \u2013 The 2014 short list for the<\/span>\u00a0Prix Ruth et Sylvia Schwartz de litt\u00e9rature jeunesse<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0was announced today. The 2014 winners will be selected by students of<\/span>\u00a0Aldergrove Public School\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0in Markham, Ontario and will be announced there on Tuesday, May 20, 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n

LES FINALISTES DE CETTE ANN\u00c9E
<\/span><\/strong>This year\u2019s short list includes some of Canada\u2019s most distinguished\u00a0children\u2019s authors and illustrators. The Children\u2019s Picture Book\u00a0category includes tributes to the joy of music, the magic of a northern winter night, and the power of imagination. The Young Adult \/ Middle Reader category includes the stories of a teenage ultra-marathon runner; a boy confronting love, mystery, and mental illness; and a village where death lurks in the shadows.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
