Toronto, September 27, 2013 – The Tim Sims Encouragement Fund and the Ontario Arts Foundation are pleased to announce the nominees of the annual\u00a0Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Awards<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n

These five exceptional young comedians and comedy act will perform for the coveted Tims Sims Encouragement Award at the\u00a0Cream of Comedy 2013<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0presented by the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund and the Second City, and hosted by one of the current stars of CTV\u2019s \u201cSatisfaction\u201d\u00a0Pat Thornton\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(2005 Tim Sims Award nominee!). An esteemed jury will select one grand prize winner who will walk away with a cheque for $5,000.<\/p>\n

Now in its 18th year, The Tim Sims Encouragement Fund (www.timsims.com<\/a>) supports and promotes promising comedic performers in the early stages of their careers. The TSEF was established in 1995 by Lindsay Leese in memory of comedian Tim Sims, well known for his brilliant talent and his dedication to supporting new talent.<\/p>\n
