Toronto, le 26 mai 2009<\/strong> \u2013 La K.M. Hunter Charitable Foundation<\/strong> a honor\u00e9 les six laur\u00e9ats des prix K.M. Hunter aux artistes 2009<\/strong> lors d'une r\u00e9ception hier soir \u00e0 l'h\u00d9tel Gladstone.<\/p>

Les laur\u00e9ats et laur\u00e9ates pour 2009, recevant 8 000 $ chacun<\/strong>, sont:<\/p>

Ces prix annuels sont d\u00e9cern\u00e9s \u00e0 des artistes qui vivent en Ontario et qui ont termin\u00e9 leur formation professionnelle, ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper une \u00fauvre et \u00e0 avoir un impact significatif dans leur discipline. Attribu\u00e9s \u00e0 un moment cl\u00e9 de la carri\u00cbre de ces artistes, les prix visent \u00e0 les encourager dans leur voie et \u00e0 les propulser \u00e0 un autre niveau.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Depuis la cr\u00e9ation des prix en 1995, 83 artistes<\/strong> ont re\u00c1u des prix totalisant un montant de plus de 500 000 $<\/strong>.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

\u00b4 Les prix K.M. Hunter aux artistes s'inspirent d'un prix que j'ai obtenu quand j'\u00e9tais au d\u00e9but de la trentaine et gr\u201ace auquel j'ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 que je devais prendre au s\u00e9rieux mon m\u00e9tier d'artiste et continuer \u00e0 me perfectionner \u00aa dit Martin Hunter.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Le Bureau des prix du CAO<\/strong> administre le processus de s\u00e9lection des prix K.M. Hunter aux artistes. Les jurys du CAO recommandent des candidats, choisis parmi les demandes anglophones de subventions de projet du CAO. La K.M. Hunter Charitable Foundation<\/strong> convoque un jury de six membres afin de choisir les laur\u00e9ats des prix. Les prix sont financ\u00e9s par un don de la K.M. Hunter Charitable Foundation<\/strong> \u00e0 la Fondation des arts de l'Ontario<\/strong>.<\/p>
