Garton,<\/strong> de <strong>Thunder Bay,<\/strong> ont annonc\u00e9 aujourd'hui le nom des laur\u00e9ats des <strong>prix Ruth et Sylvia Schwartz de litt\u00e9rature jeunesse 2005<\/strong>.  Chaque ann\u00e9e, des jurys d'\u00e9l\u00cbves d'une \u00e9cole ontarienne d\u00e9sign\u00e9e d\u00e9cernent ces prix nationaux dans deux volets :un volet <strong>Livres illustr\u00e9s<\/strong> (dans lequel le montant est partag\u00e9 entre l'auteur et l'illustrateur) et un volet <strong>Livres pour jeunes lecteurs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">L'auteur-illustrateur<strong> Wallace Edwards<\/strong> re\u00c1oit le prix de <strong>5 000 $<\/strong> pour <strong>Monkey Business<\/strong> (Kids Can Press Ltd.), tandis que <strong>Kenneth Oppel<\/strong>re\u00c1oit le prix de <strong>5 000 $<\/strong> pour <strong>Airborn<\/strong> (HarperCollins Canada). L'annonce \u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 faite \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole lors d'une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie au cours de laquelle Charlie Wilkins, auteur de Thunder Bay, a lu des textes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Cinq \u00e9l\u00cbves de 3<sup>e<\/sup> et 4<sup>e<\/sup> ann\u00e9e ont choisi <strong><em>Monkey Business<\/em><\/strong> comme meilleur livre illustr\u00e9parce qu'il \u00e9tait \u00b4 original et dr\u00d9le \u00aa et en raison de ses \u00b4 illustrations r\u00e9alistes et d\u00e9taill\u00e9es \u00aa. Cinq \u00e9l\u00cbves de 7<sup>e<\/sup> et 8<sup>e<\/sup> ann\u00e9e ont choisi <strong><em>Airborn<\/em><\/strong> comme meilleur livre pour jeunes lecteurs en expliquant qu'il avait \u00b4 tous les \u00e9l\u00e9ments d'un bon livre \u2013 un excellent m\u00e9lange de fantaisie, d'aventure et d'intrigue amoureuse \u00aa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Les prix Ruth et Sylvia Schwartz de litt\u00e9rature jeunesse rendent hommage aux auteurs et illustrateurs canadiens qui se sont d\u00e9marqu\u00e9s par leur excellence dans le domaine de la litt\u00e9rature enfantine. Ces prix avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9s en 1976 par Sylvia Schwartz \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire de sa s\u00faur Ruth, libraire torontoise respect\u00e9e. En 2004, leur famille a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de rebaptiser le prix pour rendre hommage aux deux s\u00faurs.
