This year the prize money has been doubled from $5,000 to\u00a0<strong>$10,000<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p><p>La\u00a0<strong>Livre pour jeunes lecteurs<\/strong>\u00a0book category will be judged by students in grades 6.\u00a0\u00a0 Grade 4 students will award the children&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>picture book<\/strong>\u00a0prize, which is split between the author and illustrator. If the winning picture book is authored and illustrated by two creators, they will share\u00a0<strong>$6,000<\/strong>\u00a0($3,000 each) and the young adult\/middle book author will be awarded\u00a0<strong>$4,000<\/strong>.
