Toronto, 22 novembre 2021 - Cassandra DeStellis<\/strong> est la laur\u00e9ate 2021 du Prix d\u2019encouragement Tim Sims de 2 500 $. Le Prix d\u2019encouragement Tim Sims<\/a> honore un ou une artiste comique prometteur en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re. Cassandra DeStellis a \u00e9t\u00e9 choisie pour le Prix par la facult\u00e9 du programme \u00ab Comedy Writing and Performance \u00bb de Humber College.<\/p>\n

A propos Cassandra DeStellis<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cassandra DeStellis est une auteure, humoriste, musicienne, conteuse, maitresse de donjon, et compl\u00e9tement \u00ab geek \u00bb. Nouvelle sur la sc\u00e8ne comique de Toronto, Cassandra est une r\u00e9cente dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e du programme \u00ab Comedy Writing and Performance \u00bb du Coll\u00e8ge Humber et elle a h\u00e2te de se plonger dans tout ce qu'elle peut toucher.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bien qu'int\u00e9ress\u00e9e par tout de l'improv' aux sketches comiques sur YouTube, les circonstances de la pand\u00e9mie ont tourn\u00e9 son attention vers le perfectionnement de ses scenarios \u00e9crits et la r\u00e9\u00e9criture de la plupart de la mati\u00e8re de ses monologues comiques. Son humour a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crit comme un m\u00e9lange d'autod\u00e9rision et de commentaire social. Et elle croit fermement \u00e0 l'enseignement par l'humour. Elle a particip\u00e9 au FRESH New Comedians Showcase, Replay Storytelling, et les Humber Nights au club Yuk Yuk's, et elle monte sur sc\u00e8ne r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement pour des spectacles \u00e0 travers Toronto.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Recevoir ce prix est un honneur incroyable. Je suis tellement reconnaissante d'avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 choisie et reconnue pour mon travail et les progr\u00e8s que j'ai accompli dans mon art \u00bb dit Cassandra. \u00ab Pour des raisons qui sont clairement \u00e9videntes, suivre pendant plus d'un an \u00e0 un programme de performance par classes en ligne a \u00e9t\u00e9 pour le moins difficile, et \u00eatre choisie pour ce prix me donne l'impression d'avoir pris la bonne d\u00e9cision de pers\u00e9v\u00e9rer durant cette p\u00e9riode difficile. Pour quelqu'un en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re, la reconnaissante et le soutien financier qu'apporte ce prix signifient beaucoup et contribueront grandement \u00e0 lancer ma carri\u00e8re. J'esp\u00e8re que je pourrai \u00eatre \u00e0 la hauteur de ce que repr\u00e9sente ce prix et \u00eatre un exemple pour tous ceux qui suivront. \u00bb<\/p>\n

A propos le prix d'encouragement Tim Sims<\/strong>
\nLe Fonds d\u2019encouragement Tim Sims a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 par Lindsay Leese et \u00e9tabli en 1995 pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer l\u2019esprit et la m\u00e9moire de Tim Sims, un humoriste, \u00e9crivain, directeur et collecteurs de fonds caritatifs reconnu de Toronto. Entre 1996 et 2014, le Fonds a attribu\u00e9 des montants de prix pour un total de 65 000 $ \u00e0 de jeunes humoristes en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re lors du spectacle annuel \u00ab Cream of Comedy \u00bb \u00e0 Second City. Depuis 2015, le Prix est attribu\u00e9 chaque ann\u00e9e \u00e0 un dipl\u00f4mant du programme \u00ab Comedy Writing and Performance \u00bb \u00e0 Humber College et jusqu'\u00e0 2019 \u00e0 un dipl\u00f4mant du programme de conservatoire au sein du \u00ab Second City Training Program \u00bb.<\/p>\n
