Toronto, le 24 f\u00e9vrier 2020 \u2013 Un nouveau prix annuel c\u00e9l\u00e9brant les jeunes femmes humoristes en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re sera inaugur\u00e9 ce printemps. Le Prix Deborah Jarvis pour les femmes humoristes \u00e9mergeantes<\/strong>, soutenu par le Second City Training Centre<\/strong> de Toronto, identifiera et reconnaitra des jeunes femmes humoristes talentueuses au d\u00e9but de leur carri\u00e8re. Le Prix est d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la d\u00e9funte Deborah Jarvis<\/strong>, une actrice, humoriste et auteure.<\/p>\n

Le prix inaugural sera remis lors du spectacle vitrine Drop Dead Funny; The Deborah Jarvis Award for Emerging Comediennes<\/a> le Samedi 20 juin 2020, \u00e0 20 heures<\/strong>, au John Candy Box Theatre, Second City, 99 Blue Jays Way<\/strong>, avec des performances de la laur\u00e9ate et des humoristes pr\u00e9s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

A propos de Deborah Jarvis<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
Deborah Jarvis a eu une longue carri\u00e8re en tant qu'actrice, humoriste et \u00e9crivaine. Elle a jou\u00e9 \u00e0 Toronto et \u00e0 Stratford. Elle a jou\u00e9 dans les premiers clubs de com\u00e9die de la rue Yonge quand les jeunes femmes ne faisaient pas \u00e7a. Elle a fait une tourn\u00e9e avec la Second City National Touring Company et s'est produite avec la Second City Main Stage Company \u00e0 Toronto o\u00f9 elle a travaill\u00e9 avec un jeune Mike Myers. Elle s'est ensuite tourn\u00e9e vers une carri\u00e8re de cr\u00e9ation, d'\u00e9criture et de montage de reportages t\u00e9l\u00e9vis\u00e9s pour les jeunes comme \u00ab Ready or Not \u00bb, \u00ab Majority Rules \u00bb, \u00ab Miss BG \u00bb, \u00ab Eckhart \u00bb, \u00ab Treasure Trekkers \u00bb et \u00ab Beat Bugs \u00bb, pour lesquels l'\u00e9quipe de r\u00e9daction a remport\u00e9 un Daytime Emmy. Au moment o\u00f9 elle \u00e9tait pr\u00eate \u00e0 prendre sa retraite, sa carri\u00e8re engobait l'\u00e9dition d'\u00e9quipes d'auteurs internationales sur trois continents et le travail pour des coproductions d'envergure mondiale en plusieurs langues.
