They are simple, but well worth repeating here:<\/span><\/p>



Principles of Giving Back<\/strong><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

1\/\u00a0Passion<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 If you don\u2019t have a passion for giving, or a particular cause, consider spending your time elsewhere. Without a personal passion, you won\u2019t be effective.<\/span><\/p>

2\/\u00a0Strong leadership<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 Leadership at all levels of a grant making\/gift giving organization is important for making meaningful change. Leadership can take a variety of forms and come from unlikely places \u2013 it influences how you make decisions, how your energize staff and sustain a resilient organization.<\/span><\/p>

3\/\u00a0Involvement<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 personal involvement leads to better decision making. You will have a deeper impact, than simply writing a check to an organization.<\/span><\/p>

4\/\u00a0Measurement<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 Pay attention to the impact of your gifts and support, so that you can see the difference you are making and how you might do it better<\/span><\/p>

5\/ Lastly,\u00a0be flexible and open to adjustment<\/span>. Effective philanthropists need to be willing and able to adapt and respond to the constantly evolving challenges that face the organizations\u00a0 you support<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
