I am currently working on five different book projects either as the Illustrator or as the Author\/ Illustrator.

Receiving the Ruth and Sylvia Schwartz Children’s Book Award has encouraged me on a personal and creative level. I think it has also promoted reading, the discovery of art and the resonance of ideas and words to young children.<\/span><\/p>

What does private arts philanthropy mean to you as a working artist?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

It means that I feel that with my work I am part of a community that encourages and promotes creativity and cultural awareness for everyone.<\/span><\/p>
