Cette subvention annuelle reconnait les avanc\u00e9es dans la sc\u00e9nographie de th\u00e9\u00e2tre et la viabilit\u00e9 environnementale dans le th\u00e9\u00e2tre vivant.  La subvention a \u00e9t\u00e9 remise aujourd'hui lors de la conf\u00e9rence de presse annon\u00e7ant les nomin\u00e9s pour le <em>44ieme Prix Dora Mavor Moore pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par la Fondation Romano D'Andrea<\/em>, organis\u00e9 par le TAPA au Meridian Hall \u00e0 Toronto.<br \/><br \/><strong>\u00c0 propos<\/strong><em><strong> \u00ab Last Landscape \u00bb<\/strong><\/em><br \/><em>\u00ab Last Landscape \u00bb<\/em> est une exp\u00e9rience de marionnettes \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle pour sept interpr\u00e8tes et un musicien, avec la durabilit\u00e9 au c\u0153ur de sa forme et de son contenu. Il explore la relation avec le panorama naturel qui nous entoure, m\u00e9ditant sur les th\u00e8mes de l'extinction et de la protection entre esp\u00e8ces, et \u00e9voquant un sentiment de nostalgie face \u00e0 l'effondrement environnemental. La production recevra sa premi\u00e8re mondiale au <a href=\"https:\/\/buddiesinbadtimes.com\/\">Buddies In Bad Times Theatre<\/a> en janvier 2025, dans le cadre de leur saison 2024\/25.<\/p><p><br \/><strong>Common Boots Theatre et Bad New Days<\/strong><br \/><strong>Common Boots Theatre<\/strong> cr\u00e9e un th\u00e9\u00e2tre original et collaboratif pour les espaces th\u00e9\u00e2traux traditionnels et non traditionnels. Il raconte des histoires diverses et inclusives \u00e0 travers la com\u00e9die, la corporalit\u00e9 et la performance. Son objectif est de rendre le th\u00e9\u00e2tre accessible aux artistes et au public, depuis le processus de r\u00e9p\u00e9tition et de cr\u00e9ation jusqu'\u00e0 la soir\u00e9e de cl\u00f4ture.<\/p><p>Depuis 2014, <strong>Bad New Days<\/strong> a \u00e9tabli une pr\u00e9sence unique dans le th\u00e9\u00e2tre canadien en cr\u00e9ant des \u0153uvres th\u00e9\u00e2trales visuellement audacieuses et physiquement innovantes qui explorent la complexit\u00e9 de la condition humaine au travers d\u2019un m\u00e9lange volatile de l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 et de gravit\u00e9, s'inspirant des traditions th\u00e9\u00e2trales du pass\u00e9 et les r\u00e9imaginant dans un contexte esth\u00e9tique contemporain.<\/p><p><br \/><strong>\u00c9valuation<\/strong><br \/>La subvention de Common Boots Theatre et Bad New Day a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e par un jury compos\u00e9 de <strong>Indrit Kasapi<\/strong> (Pr\u00e9sident) \u2013 Producteur artistique, Theatre Passe Muraille, membre du conseil d'administration de TAPA ; <strong>Anthony Garoufalis-Auger<\/strong> \u2013 Unit\u00e9 pour l'urgence climatique, Cercle de mission SCALE-LeSAUT ; <strong>Denyse Karn<\/strong> \u2013 Directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, Associated Designers of Canada (ADC) ; <strong>Shawn Kerwin<\/strong> Costumier et sc\u00e9nographe Ind\u00e9pendant; et <strong>Lisa Lambert<\/strong> \u2013 Succession de Raymond M. Ferris.<\/p><p>Le comit\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 unanime dans son choix du Common Boots Theatre et de New Day Days comme r\u00e9cipiendaires de la subvention Ray Ferris pour l\u2019innovation et la durabilit\u00e9 cette ann\u00e9e. Ils ont dit :<\/p><blockquote><p><em>\u00ab Cette proposition se distingue par son approche r\u00e9volutionnaire en mati\u00e8re de durabilit\u00e9, d\u00e9montrant l'innovation en incorporant des \u00e9l\u00e9ments comme de la vraie herbe et des plantes dans la sc\u00e9nographie. De plus, ils mettent l'accent sur une int\u00e9gration holistique de la durabilit\u00e9 dans tous les aspects de leur projet, y compris son contenu th\u00e9matique. Le jury applaudit leur proposition et est ravi de voir l'impact de leur travail sur la refonte des perceptions de la durabilit\u00e9 au sein de notre industrie.  \u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><p><strong>A propos de la subvention<\/strong> <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/tapa.ca\/programs\/funding\/ray-ferris-grant\/\">Subvention d'innovation et de durabilit\u00e9 Ray Ferris<\/a> est ouverte aux compagnies de th\u00e9\u00e2tre bas\u00e9es \u00e0 Toronto qui d\u00e9montrent avec succ\u00e8s une proposition d'am\u00e9lioration des pratiques de durabilit\u00e9 dans une production \u00e0 venir. Les avanc\u00e9es envisag\u00e9es peuvent inclure, mais sans s'y limiter, la cr\u00e9ation de m\u00e9thodes uniques pour pr\u00e9senter un r\u00e9cit dans le th\u00e9\u00e2tre vivant ; le d\u00e9veloppement de processus nouveaux et durables dans la construction et la mise en sc\u00e8ne d'une production th\u00e9\u00e2trale vivant ; et transformer des espaces non traditionnels ou sous-utilis\u00e9s en salles de spectacle.<br \/><br \/>Les r\u00e9cipiendaires de subventions retenus fourniront un rapport \u00e9crit \u00e0 la fin de leur production, d\u00e9taillant comment la subvention a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e pour faire progresser les pratiques de durabilit\u00e9 dans les arts de la sc\u00e8ne, en pr\u00e9cisant les \u00e9l\u00e9ments qui ont bien fonctionn\u00e9 et d'autres qui n\u00e9cessitent une attention suppl\u00e9mentaire. Le rapport sera pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 aux membres de la TAPA dans le but de s'appuyer sur les meilleures pratiques de l'industrie.<br \/><br \/>La Fondation des arts de l'Ontario g\u00e8re le fonds de dotation qui finance cette subvention. La Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts est responsable pour le processus de s\u00e9lection et convoque un jury pour examiner les demandes et d\u00e9lib\u00e9rer.<\/p><p><br \/><strong>A propos de Ray Ferris<\/strong><br \/>Cette subvention est possible gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un don de succession g\u00e9n\u00e9reux de <strong>Raymond M. Ferris<\/strong>, un artiste de Toronto, math\u00e9maticien et statisticien. Ray a obtenu une ma\u00eetrise en sciences et au d\u00e9but de sa carri\u00e8re, il faisait partie de l'\u00e9quipe de sp\u00e9cialistes des fus\u00e9es de la NASA responsable du retour r\u00e9ussi des astronautes de l'alunissage. Au milieu des ann\u00e9es 1980, Ray a lanc\u00e9 sa propre entreprise \u00e0 Toronto, R.M. Ferris Research Consultants. Avec les progr\u00e8s de la technologie, il a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 exp\u00e9rimenter avec l'art num\u00e9rique et a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des techniques pour int\u00e9grer son amour pour l'art, les math\u00e9matiques et l'informatique et il a collabor\u00e9 avec des musiciens locaux, combinant des formes d'art.
