Toronto, le 15 juin 2023 - La Guilde des compositeurs canadiens de musique \u00e0 l\u2019image<\/strong> et la Fondation des arts de l'Ontario<\/strong> ont le plaisir d\u2019annoncer Ally Fiola<\/a> et le Sean Hayden<\/a> comme les laur\u00e9at(e)s du Prix Christopher Dedrick pour les musiciens dans les bandes sonores pour les medias<\/a>. Ce prix d'un montant de 1 200 dollars reconnait des compositeurs de l'Ontario et encourage l'utilisation de musiciens dans la production de bandes son originales de media.<\/p>

A propos de Ally Fiola<\/strong>
\"\"Ally Fiola est une saxophoniste et compositrice pour les films n\u00e9o-\u00e9cossaise. Le cin\u00e9ma est le cadre id\u00e9al pour que la passion d'Ally pour la narration et la musique se conjuguent. Ce prix annuel d\u2019une valeur de 1 200 dollars est remis \u00e0 un membre professionnel de la Guilde en r\u00e8gle, et est adjug\u00e9 par un comit\u00e9 de s\u00e9lection compos\u00e9 de pairs de la Guilde. Le Guilde des compositeurs canadiens de musique \u00e0 l\u2019image<\/a> est une association nationale pour les compositeurs et compositrices de musique professionnel(le)s et les producteur de musique pour le cin\u00e9ma, la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision et les media. Fond\u00e9 en 1980, la Guilde est certifi\u00e9e en vertu de la Loi f\u00e9d\u00e9rale sur le statut de l'artiste pour repr\u00e9senter tous les compositeurs anglophones au Canada.<\/p>

La guilde s'efforce de maintenir la haute qualit\u00e9 de la musique \u00e0 l'image canadienne gr\u00e2ce au perfectionnement professionnel, au mentorat et aux ateliers. Elle facilite la mise en r\u00e9seau via des forums de discussion et une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d'\u00e9v\u00e9nements, et s'associe \u00e0 des groupes industriels et des festivals pour augmenter l'acc\u00e8s de ses membres et exploiter un vaste r\u00e9pertoire de compositeurs pour connecter les cr\u00e9ateurs aux clients. La Guilde plaide \u00e9galement au plus haut niveau en promouvant et en prot\u00e9geant les droits des membres aupr\u00e8s des producteurs, des diffuseurs, des agences gouvernementales et des l\u00e9gislateurs.<\/p>

Le Fondation des arts de l'Ontario<\/a> est passionn\u00e9ment engag\u00e9e \u00e0 renforcer le soutien \u00e0 long terme pour les arts en Ontario. En 2022-2023, la FAO a vers\u00e9 plus de 4,4 millions de dollars en revenus de dotation et 300 000 dollars en prix et bourses.<\/p>

A propos de Christopher Dedrick<\/strong>
Christopher Dedrick \u00e9tait un producteur de musique, un arrangeur, et un compositeur classique et de bandes sonores. Il a travaill\u00e9 avec les directeurs Guy Maddin et Don McKellar, remportant un Prix G\u00e9nie pour \u00ab The Saddest Music in the World \u00bb de Guy Maddin. En 1997, Dedrick a remport\u00e9 un prix Gemini pour son travail sur la s\u00e9rie t\u00e9l\u00e9visuelle \u00ab Road to Avonlea \u00bb.
