Toronto, le 13 juin 2023 \u2013 La Fondation des arts de l\u2019Ontario est heureuse d'annoncer que Sarah Boston<\/strong> est la laur\u00e9ate 2023 du Prix d\u2019encouragement Tim Sims<\/a>de 2 500 $. Le Prix d\u2019encouragement Tim Sims honore un ou une artiste comique prometteur en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re. Sarah Boston a \u00e9t\u00e9 choisie pour le Prix par la facult\u00e9 du programme \u00ab Comedy Writing and Performance \u00bb de Humber College.<\/p>

\"\"A propos de Sarah Boston<\/strong>
Sarah Boston a eu un parcours d\u00e9tourn\u00e9 vers le monde de l'humour. Elle est chirurgienne v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans le cancer et elle-m\u00eame survivante du cancer. Ses m\u00e9moires \u00e0 succ\u00e8s, Lucky Dog: How Being a Veterinarian Saved My Life<\/a><\/em> ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9es par The House of Anansi en 2014. Le livre de Sarah l'a mise sur la voie de l'\u00e9criture comique et \u00e9ventuellement du stand-up.<\/p>

Sarah a obtenu son dipl\u00f4me du programme d'interpr\u00e9tation et d'\u00e9criture comique du Humber College en avril 2023, recevant le prix d'excellence acad\u00e9mique pour le GPA le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 de son programme. En plus de sa \nformation au Humber College, Sarah a suivi des cours d'\u00e9criture comique et de stand-up \u00e0 Second City, Absolute Comedy et l'American Comedy Institute. Elle fait partie du Top 10 du concours de com\u00e9die amateur de CBC Comedy \u00ab 2019 Next Up amateur comedy competition<\/a>\u00bb. Sarah est la fondatrice du journal v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire satirique en ligne appel\u00e9 \u00ab The Cageliner \u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>

A propos le prix<\/strong>
Le Fonds d\u2019encouragement Tim Sims a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 par Lindsay Leese et \u00e9tabli en 1995 pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer l\u2019esprit et la m\u00e9moire de Tim Sims, un humoriste, \u00e9crivain, directeur et collecteurs de fonds caritatifs reconnu de Toronto. Entre 1996 et 2014, le Fonds a attribu\u00e9 des montants de prix pour un total de 65 000 $ \u00e0 de jeunes humoristes en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re lors du spectacle annuel \u00ab Cream of Comedy \u00bb \u00e0 Second City. Depuis 2015, le Prix est attribu\u00e9 chaque ann\u00e9e \u00e0 un dipl\u00f4mant du programme \u00ab Comedy Writing and Performance \u00bb \u00e0 Humber College et jusqu'\u00e0 2019 \u00e0 un dipl\u00f4mant du programme de conservatoire au sein du \u00ab Second City Training Program \u00bb.<\/p>
