Elles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es par deux jurys de jeunes lecteurs de l'\u00e9cole \u2013 un jury d'\u00e9l\u00e8ves de <strong>4e ann\u00e9e<\/strong> a choisi l\u2019ouvrage prim\u00e9 dans le volet <strong>Livre illustr\u00e9<\/strong>,  et un jury d'\u00e9l\u00e8ves de <strong>7e et 8e ann\u00e9e<\/strong> a choisi l\u2019ouvrage prim\u00e9 dans le volet <strong>Livre pour jeunes lecteurs<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Les jeunes jur\u00e9s sont choisis pour leur go\u00fbt de la lecture et leur aptitude \u00e0 parvenir \u00e0 un consensus de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 refl\u00e9ter \u00e9galement le milieu scolaire. Chaque \u00e9l\u00e8ve lit s\u00e9par\u00e9ment les livres pr\u00e9s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s et collabore ensuite avec les autres membres de son groupe pour d\u00e9cider collectivement du laur\u00e9at. Au fil de son parcours, il tombe sur un ours noir en train de nager, un orignal chancelant et efflanqu\u00e9, une oie qui semble se marrer, un h\u00e9ron qui sait se comporter et \u2013 c'est l\u00e0 o\u00f9 les choses commencent vraiment \u00e0 bouger \u2013 un hibou qui ulule \u00e0 tout casser. Le livre se termine par une longue note de l'auteure contenant des donn\u00e9es sur tous les animaux que Ben a rencontr\u00e9s et une invitation au lecteur de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir, fa\u00e7on \u00e9cologiste, aux liens qui les unissent les uns aux autres.<\/p><p><strong>Citations<\/strong><\/p><p>\u00ab Nous avons beaucoup aim\u00e9 les couleurs et les d\u00e9tails des illustrations, tout comme le d\u00e9roulement du r\u00e9cit, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le <strong>jury d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ves<\/strong> qui a s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 ce livre. Les pages d'information qui se trouvent \u00e0 la fin \u00e9taient tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressantes. Et surtout, nous avons aim\u00e9 la fa\u00e7on dont l'histoire r\u00e9v\u00e9lait l'interaction entre les animaux et l'environnement. Jen est titulaire d'un dipl\u00f4me de troisi\u00e8me cycle en sciences int\u00e9gr\u00e9es, en \u00e9ducation et en \u00e9criture, et a travaill\u00e9 dans chacun de ces domaines \u2013 en tant que chercheuse dans le domaine de la faune et de la flore, enseignante \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole primaire et formatrice en r\u00e9daction professionnelle. Elle se r\u00e9veille le lendemain matin tiraill\u00e9e par quelque chose au plus profond d'elle-m\u00eame \u2013 un sortil\u00e8ge  qu'elle ne peut ni contr\u00f4ler ni rompre. Forc\u00e9e de quitter sa maison, Croi entame un voyage plein de surprises... et de dangers. En fait ce n'est pas une brownie, mais bien une toute autre cr\u00e9ature qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 envo\u00fbt\u00e9e au point d'en avoir oubli\u00e9 son origine et son patrimoine. Elle devra faire appel \u00e0 ses pouvoirs magiques r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9s et \u00e0 son courage, puis parcourir un chemin sem\u00e9 d'emb\u00fbches, pour retrouver sa v\u00e9ritable identit\u00e9 et l'endroit de l'Autre Monde auquel elle appartient.<\/p><p><strong>Citations<\/strong><\/p><p>Voici ce que le jury d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ves qui a s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 <em>Road of the Lost<\/em> a soulign\u00e9 : \u00ab Le personnage principal, Croi, nous ressemble.
