Toronto, le 23 juin 2022 \u2013 La cr\u00e9atrice de costumes, Anna Treusch<\/strong> est la laur\u00e9ate 2022 du Prix Virginia et Myrtle Cooper pour la cr\u00e9ation de costumes<\/strong> d\u2019un montant de 25 000 dollars. Ce prix est d\u00e9cern\u00e9 tous les ans \u00e0 une costumi\u00e8re ou \u00e0 un costumier professionnel qui travaille en Ontario et qui est en milieu de sa carri\u00e8re par le biais de recherches et de voyages.<\/p>

A propos de Anna Treusch<\/strong>
\nAnna Treusch travaille comme d\u00e9coratrice et costumi\u00e8re pour le th\u00e9\u00e2tre, l'op\u00e9ra, et la com\u00e9die musicale partout au Canada avec des compagnies comme le Capitol Theatre, Canadian Stage, Nightwood Theatre, le Banff Centre for the Arts, le centre national des arts, le Young People\u2019s Theatre, Native Earth, Coal Mine Theatre, Against the Grain, Thousand Islands Playhouse, Common Boots, Theatre St. Johns, Manitoba Theatre for Young People, Factory Theatre, Great Canadian Theatre Company, et Obsidian Theatre.<\/p>

Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 designer \/ instructrice invit\u00e9e dans plusieurs institutions comme Sheridan College, George Brown College, l'Universit\u00e9 de Waterloo, Humber College, l'Universit\u00e9 York, Randolph College et St. Clair College. Anna a eu la chance d'avoir le soutien de plusieurs mentors dans sa carri\u00e8re et croit profond\u00e9ment que ces mentors ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le majeur dans sa carri\u00e8re.\u00a0<\/p>

Anna est titulaire d'un dipl\u00f4me en production technique th\u00e9\u00e2trale de l'Universit\u00e9 m\u00e9tropolitaine de Toronto. Elle est r\u00e9cipiendaire de deux prix Dora pour son travail dans la conception de costumes. Elle a re\u00e7u plusieurs nominations pour le prix Pauline McGibbon pour son travail de peintre sc\u00e9nique. Elle est fi\u00e8re d'\u00eatre membre de Associated Designers of Canada (IATSE ADC659) et IATSE 828.<\/p>

Anna Treusch a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e par un jury compos\u00e9 de Brandon Kleinman<\/strong>, cr\u00e9ateur de costumes \u00e9mergent (Toronto), Michele Smith-Gilmour<\/strong>, co-directeur artistique, Theatre Smith-Gilmour, et Kelly Wolf<\/strong>, cr\u00e9atrice de costumes \u00e9tablie (Hamilton).<\/p>

Les membres du jury ont \u00e9t\u00e9 unanimes dans leur choix d'Anna Treusch comme laur\u00e9ate du prix Virginia et Myrtle Cooper 2022 pour la cr\u00e9ation de costumes. Ils ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u00ab Les cr\u00e9ations d'Anna refl\u00e8tent sa pratique artistique mature et montrent sa confiance et son intelligence en tant qu'artiste. A propos le prix<\/strong><\/b><\/p>

Le Prix Virginia et Myrtle Cooper pour la cr\u00e9ation de costumes, cr\u00e9\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un don g\u00e9n\u00e9reux dans le testament de la Dr Virginia Cooper, est attribu\u00e9 \u00ab pour l\u2019amour de la cr\u00e9ation \u00bb. Dr Cooper a \u00e9t\u00e9 directrice du th\u00e9\u00e2tre Tarragon et elle \u00e9tait membre fondatrice du Arts and Letters Club de Toronto, auquel elle participait activement. Elle s\u2019int\u00e9ressait vivement aux arts de la sc\u00e8ne, en particulier \u00e0 la conception des costumes.<\/p>

La Fondation des arts de l'Ontario g\u00e8re le fonds de dotation qui finance le Prix. Le Conseil des arts de l\u2019Ontario g\u00e8re le processus de nomination et de s\u00e9lection pour le prix.<\/p>
